Join us in celebrating the truth of new life: Christ is risen! Christ is risen, indeed!

On Good Friday, we will join with other churches in the area in an ecumenical service to observe the day of Jesus’s crucifixion. It is a solemn day, but one filled with meaning and emotion. The service will center around the “Seven Last Sayings of Jesus,” the seven phrases attested throughout the gospels that Jesus said from the cross. Each saying will have a short meditation delivered by a different church pastor.

The service will take place at University United Methodist Church, 1085 E. Genesee Street. The parking and main entrance for the church is at 324 University Avenue.

On Maundy Thursday, we commemorate Jesus’s final night with his disciples, before his arrest and crucifixion. Maundy comes from the Latin for “mandate,” as this is when Jesus gives the disciples the new commandment to love one another as they have been loved. We will hold a service of communion and prayer. All are welcome.

Join us for a special Sunday service as we celebrate Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and as we mark the beginning of Holy Week, the last week of Jesus’s earthly life.
