Sunday School

Adult Education

The Adult Class focuses on learning more about the Bible, its historical and cultural background, and how to apply it to contemporary issues.  Rotating leaders provide introductions and exploration of questions raised by DVDs featuring scholars such as Ray Vander Laan, preachers such as Adam Hamilton, and popular writers such as Philip Yancey.  Each class is complete in itself.  The group meets in the lounge 9:30-10:25 am most Sundays between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

Children Ministries

EBC welcomes children of all ages to our Sunday School program. Our dedicated teachers strive to help and guide our children in building their Christian faith through lessons, music, crafts, and participation in worship. Some of our addition activities include:

  • Children’s Christmas Pageant
  • Children’s Sunday
  • Children’s Choir
  • Letter writing and cards to our shut-ins and “Compassion Kids”
  • Hosting after church brunches and dinners for the American Baptist
  • Church camping program, local soup kitchen and & “Compassion Kids”

Our school year begins the Sunday after Labor Day and continues through the last Sunday in June. Sunday School begins at 9:30 am. At 10:30 am all children (except nursery age) enter the sanctuary for worship. After the children’s message, grades K-5 return to their classrooms. During the summer months, children stay in the service after the children’s sermon.
