Eastwood Baptist Nursery School and Pre-Kindergarten is located in the Clara B. Thorpe wing at Eastwood Baptist Church, 3212 James St., Syracuse, NY.  The Nursery School and Pre-K programs are centered in a loving, Christian environment that recognizes the uniqueness of each child.

The Nursery School Program meets on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00 am – 12 pm.  For many children this is the first time away from home.  Caring teachers that help make the transition into the classroom as stress-free as possible greet children.  Our focus in the Nursery School Program is on developing social skills and building communication skills.  We will also help children learn to follow a class routine, work on the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes and other basic skills.

The Pre-K program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am  - 12 pm.  The Pre-K Program is designed to prepare each child for a successful transition into Kindergarten.  Our focus is on kindergarten readiness skills including pre-reading, prewriting and pre-math.  We will also continue working on social and communication skills that will help each child to interact successfully with peers.

Both the Nursery and Pre-K Programs recognize the unique learning styles of each child and approach learning using a variety of methods.  We hope to develop a curiosity and desire to learn that will last a lifetime.

Parents are invited to attend several events throughout the school year including a class Thanksgiving feast, ornament making before Christmas, our annual art show and more.
